There was an uneasiness as we descended through the light. Behind us, the sounds of the street echoed in the stone chamber, yet the path ahead was defiantly silent. With each step the air was becoming more granular—walls closing in. Some would later call it intuition. Others, déjà vu. A familiar sensation. Misfiled by the mind. The Black Uncommon sat was selected for being transitionary from dark into light and when it was mined, reflecting the year of the underlying photographic art which was captured while exploring Venice in 2016.
